Space Systems Technical Committee

 

Space Systems Technical Committee (SSTC) is established to fulfill Taiwanese American Aeronautics and Space Association’s (TAASA) commitment in promoting scientific, engineering, and technological knowledge in space science and engineering. We would like to invite you becoming a member of Space Systems Technical Committee. And we would also like to share with your experiences and further Space Technology development in benefiting the government, academic, and commercial communities. The major thrust of this committee will include planning/organizing sessions at the annual conference, sponsoring special workshop/mini-symposium, establishing and administering charities and scholarship funds to support research and educational needs. And the results of study and finding will be disseminated in the TASSA.

Currently, SSTC consists of a group of scientists and engineers who are dedicated to further the advancement of space science and technology that will foster general welfare among people both in the US and Taiwan. The major focus of this committee is listed as follows:

Study and evaluate space launch vehicles capability around the world

bullet

Perform satellite technology survey and assessment

bullet

Conduct research/study in identifying space science and engineering payload candidates for future Taiwan space mission.

Study and monitor Taiwan space program progress

bullet

Explore the possibilities of expanding role for Taiwan space program in considering the development of commercial launch vehicle
