A number of significant technology-related trends appear poised to have major global effects within the next ten years. These trends are being influenced by advances in biotechnology, nanotechnology, and material technology. Among them, advances in nanotechnology and material technology show the greatest potential for impact on the future development of aeronautical and space technologies. The rapid emergence and growth of nanotechnology/material technology across the disciplines, fueled by visions of a new technological revolution and significant government funding, presents many great challenges and opportunities not only to scientists and engineers, but also to those whose profession is to reflect on science and technology and their place in society. 2007 Taiwan-America Science and Technology Conference (TASTC) on Aerospace & Nanotechnology is a one-day conference that aims to establish a platform for information and knowledge exchange, and to enable technology trends by the contributions of these two, among other, intersecting technologies. Conference Sponsors: Taiwanese American Aeronautics and Space Association (TAASA) North America Taiwanese Professors' Association - SCAL National Science Council, Taiwan California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2)
