A Word of Welcome
It is our honor to welcome you all to the 2007 Taiwan-America Science and Technology Conference (2007 TASTC). This conference is jointly sponsored by Taiwanese American Aeronautics and Space Association (TAASA, 台美航太協會), North America Taiwanese Professors’ Association - Southern California Chapter (NATPA – SCAL, 北美洲台灣人教授協會南加分會 ), National Science Council of Taiwan (NSC, 行政院國家科學委員會 ) and California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). The main theme for this joint conference is “Aerospace and Nanotechnology”.
The goals of this conference are not only serving as a forum to promote international collaborations and sharing the experience of science and technology in the area of aerospace and nanotechnology, but also creating opportunities and fostering prosperity for both the U.S. and Taiwan.
We are delighted and honored to be joined by many distinguished speakers from government agencies, academia, and industries for this conference. On behalf of the 2007 TASTC Steering Committee, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all conference speakers and volunteers for their invaluable contribution for this conference. Special thanks are due to all members of the Steering Committee for their hard work and dedication in planning this conference.
